Bike Heaven Ride and Show

Bike Heaven Show

 BIKE SHOWS ARE BACK!

Motorcycle shows made a welcome return to the calendar in early May with the ‘Bike Heaven’ event at the Advancetown Hotel on the outskirts of the Gold Coast.

The day kicked off with breakfast and coffee at the pub followed by a well scouted ride through the Hinterland, Mt Tambourine and Beechmont loops with around 70 bikes of most types in attendance.

That was followed by a Smoked Pork lunch back at the hotel with the Bike show proper kicking off a bit after 1pm - with live music accompaniment from the very-easy-to-listen-to ‘Hemi Kingi Trio’.

The show was well attended with steady stream of all brands of bikes, riders and passengers flowing in and out of the parking lot over the course of the afternoon. There were plenty of family groups in attendance too.

A good range of custom Harleys were on show with a number of very impressive builds from event sponsor, Karupt Customs, several of whose creations have been featured in HEAVY DUTY.

The winner of the show was a wild custom Indian chopper-bobber-sculpture that was very well executed and presented throughout.

The show wrapped up with the presentation of trophies and cash prizes to winners of the numerous categories on display.

“For our inaugural event we are very pleased with the results and attendance, given the limited time frames we had to work in.” Said Organiser Mac Swift. “We have learned a lot from this - and look forward to the next one - that will become an annual event - even bigger, better and totally awesome.”

We’re looking forward to it too and give this first attempt a well-deserved thumbs-up.
